Latin America’s global art profile continues to grow as museums, dealers and collectors globally embrace this diverse market. Though focus is primarily targeted on the regional economic powerhouse Brazil and its key centres Sao Paolo and Rio De Janeiro, the greater market is not too far behind. Interest is strong in Mexico, Colombia, Buenos Aires and Argentina especially. High profile Western institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Tate Modern have recently appointed dedicated Latin American curators.
