The theme of London Business School’s 2012 Art Investment Conference will look beyond the headlines, discussing the future of art and emotional asset investing amidst the continued market turbulences. We will consider investment risks and pitfalls as well as potential initiatives to bring art and collectibles into the mainstream of asset and wealth management portfolios. We will also explore different approaches to collecting and what can be learned from a new generation of buyers. Finally, we will ask whether the move towards greater diversification in asset management, to include physical assets such as real estate, gold & silver, and other collectibles, is a fad or is here to stay.
