Christie's Hong Kong organises its Evening Sale of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art on the 26.May 2012. The sale presents an in-depth, scholastic survey of the past century of artistic achievement in Asian modern and contemporary art, all curated together under one auction category, featuring exquisite and distinct works drawn from Asian modernist masters to avant-garde and cutting-edge contemporary talents. Led by important early works from the 1950 and 1960s by Zao Wou-Ki, including a rare Klee-inspired Nu Couché (Reclining Nude) from the Barron Family Collection, the Sale also includes works by modernists such as Sanyu, Chu Teh-Chun, Kim Whan-Ki, Zenzaburo Kojima, Affandi, Bencab, Lee Man Fong and Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur Merprés, whilst contemporary highlights include Zeng Fanzhi, Yang Shaobin, Cao Guo-Qiang, Suh Do-Ho and Ronald Ventura.
