In this edition of the ArtTactic Podcast, we speak with Professor Michael Moses, co-founder of the Mei Moses Art Index and Beautiful Asset Advisors, who returns to the podcast to review the performance of the Mei Moses Index in 2009. First, Professor Moses puts the 23.5% decline his index experienced in 2009 into perspective, comparing it to past art market downturns. Then, he discusses the varying performances of his five movement-specific indexes over the past. Also, from a longer-ranger viewpoint, he examines how art has performed as an asset class over the past decade versus more traditonal assets.
